Executive function is used to help us plan, learn, attend, self-regulate and manage in everyday situations. This course will explore current research and implications for intervention in regards to executive function for children with hearing loss.

Listening experience is the foundation for clear speech development in children and it begins to in utero. Up to 25% of children aged 5-7 may have speech sound disorders and this is likely to be higher in children with hearing loss. Understanding the impact of auditory access to speech development is crucial to intervention and treatment.
