Listening Check

LISTENING CHECK

Children need to be able to listen well to learn to talk. Listening is a precursor to developing a spoken language. A delay in child’s listening skills could indicate a number of considerations, including hearing loss.

The FLI-P Listening Check helps you understand if your child’s listening skills are on track, by answering a few questions.

Think about how often your child does the following things. This will either be rarely & none of the time, or, mostly and all of the time. There are some prompts to help if you’re not sure.

Please note: It is NOT a diagnostic tool for hearing loss, and at times may under or over indicate the presence of listening concerns.
