Overview
This session aims to identify how communication outcomes for children with various types of hearing loss can be improved by monitoring a child’s ‘listening trajectory’. You will learn to use this information to bridge gaps between audiological assessments, language outcome measures, and auditory listening checklists. Latest FLI-P® research will be presented. Case studies will be used to demonstrate how functional listening progress can be a much earlier predictor of language outcomes and used to flag and guide progress in particular populations including children with additional needs, moderate-severe hearing loss and unilateral hearing loss
